Christchurch Earthquake

Hi readers! So you all have probably heard about the huge earthquake that has hit Christchurch, New Zealand earlier today. As a kiwi, with a fair few family and friends in Christchurch (luckily all are ok) I am shocked to hear the earthquake has done a lot of damage, with 65 dead (to date), many injured, and lots of building & environmental damage. My thoughts and love is with everyone at home at the moment. Stay strong and stick together.

Sorry to note also that there won't be a post for a couple of days - I can't seem to concentrate on anything bar refreshing Stuff to see updates. Be back soon lovelies!

Frankfurt, Germany

I have just got back from an amazing long weekend in Frankfurt! We started with amazing weather (if a little on the cold side) and had a great time walking, exploring, shopping (more to come on that) and relaxing! So wonderful to get out of London and get some fresh air. I love looking at German words, as you can see in most of my shots below.

Project Love: Queensbury Identity

Love this identity project for Queensbury Identity by NZ design agency Alt Group. It recently won gold in the New Zealand Best Awards. I can't go past big typography and a bit of gold foil - but the execution of the inner pages in the booklet are beautifully done!

Note: Alt group don't have a website with any work on it at the moment! Its supposedly in progress! Their Flickr has some of their projects on it.

I love these still life photographs of these disassembled machines! Its amazing to think of how many parts go into a machine. The simplicity of the presentation of the parts are really lovely - simply gorgeous work! From top to bottom, An Old Camera, A Flip Clock, Push Mower, Typewriter, and Wind-Up Clock. More here.

Lovely graphic work by Collective Approach! Particularly loving the A&G identity - gorgeous mark executed simply but beautifully. Love the big Polka Dot poster too!

Studio Love: Astronaut Design

I'm really enjoying the typographic work of Astronaut Design. Some gorgeous form work - simple lines and some nice patterns, all laid out really beautifully on their website. Nice colour palettes also... and I really like the idea of overlaying logotype over image.
