Nice collaboration between London based watch brand FTE (freedom to exist) and illustrators Sunny Todd and The City Works for their special edition gift wrapping.
We believe freedom is the freedom to choose, to fall in love, to wear what you want, how you want to. It’s the Freedom To Exist. That’s what inspired two design lovers, Kirsty Whyte and Paul Tanner, to create their own minimalist watch brand - because they wanted to create timepieces free from fast fashion and passing trend. Products that honour the classic detailing that make vintage watches truly timeless. As well as business partners Kirsty & Paul are also partners in life! (10 years and counting). It was their passion for design and expertise from working at retail start ups like Made.com and larger retailers like Heals, Habitat and M&S that has given Freedom To Exist its foundation.
As a design duo who work closely together they searched for other creative studios to collaborate with, that shared a similar dynamic that also matched Freedom To Exists brand values. They discovered The City Works and Sunny Todd Prints at Designjunction and The London Design Fair during the London Design Festival 2016. Freedom To Exist have collaborated with these two distinct design studios to create exclusive wrapping papers for customers to personalise their watch purchase with.
Sunny Todd Prints. Royal College of Art graduate Sunny Todd established ‘Sunny Todd Prints’ with his wife Emma in 2013; they work from their studio in Ledbury to produce beautiful, irresistible patterns for interiors, fashion and products. Their wrapping paper is an exclusive colour combination of their bold signature Floral design in Sky Blue, Red and White.
The City Works is a contemporary souvenirs brand based in Vienna, Austria. It was founded by Camberwell College of Arts graduates Sylvia Moritz and Rowan Ottesen in 2015. Each city collection is carefully researched and intricately drawn, with a variety of items for your wall, desk, or loved ones being made using the designs. Their wrapping paper is an exclusive intricate monochrome design of world clocks.
